Designed by the internationally acclaimed Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners (RSHP), the development consists of two sculptural towers – north and south – connected by a dramatic glass core. The architecture blends a deep respect for Mayfair’s historic character with forward-looking, contemporary design principles. Inside, the interiors curated by Beck Interiors and Clivedale’s design team reflect the same meticulous attention to detail.
Clivedale – Beck Interiors – Bespoke 30mm Bianco Eclipsia Worktops
JR Stone was appointed to deliver the complete worktop package for this iconic scheme, produced in 30mm Bianco Eclipsia, a refined natural stone chosen for its elegant veining, subtle tonal movement and exceptional durability. This project stands as a showcase of JR Stone’s ability to manufacture and install highly bespoke, technically complex stone components.
The images reveal the extraordinary craftsmanship required: from the sculptural kitchen islands to the integrated curved seating areas, each stone element is designed as both a functional surface and a piece of architectural furniture. One of the signature features is the extended marble island that transitions effortlessly into a banquette-style dining bench. Fabricated from bookmatched Bianco Eclipsia slabs, it creates a continuous flow of stone that wraps around the dining area, blurring the boundaries between kitchen and living space.
The kitchens also feature full-height marble splashbacks, precisely vein-matched with the worktops to create a seamless visual composition. Fluted and ribbed cabinetry fronts enhance the interplay between texture and stone, while soft lighting accentuates the natural patterns within each slab. The result is a calm, highly polished environment where craftsmanship and design sophistication work in harmony.
Multiple layouts across the residences include single-wall kitchens, galley arrangements and extended open-plan spaces. In each configuration, JR Stone’s installation ensures perfect alignment, crisp edges and flawless finishing. The 30mm thickness gives the worktops a substantial architectural presence, anchoring each kitchen with a sense of permanence and luxury.
Producing the curved seating modules demanded extensive CNC shaping, hand finishing and structural reinforcement – an achievement that highlights JR Stone’s advanced fabrication capabilities. Every radius, joint and detail was executed with millimetre accuracy to ensure the integrated stone furniture is both beautiful and robust.
The result is a collection of kitchens and living spaces that embody the essence of the Mandarin Oriental brand: timeless elegance, uncompromising quality and an unmistakable sense of calm luxury.
